It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our precious and beloved Anita Many Guns-Simeon at the age of 54 years.
Anita is survived by her loving children, Ceejay, Jason Jr., Travis (Kerrie) and Courtney (Starlin); along with their father Jason Simeon Sr., grandchildren, Amina Rabbitcarrier, Seanna and Nyah Meguinis, Keira, Brie and TJ Simeon and Kelilah, Avery, Hazel and Tazanna Big Plume; goddaughter, Anaya Littlechild and her mother Rita Many Guns. She is also survived by her maternal-grandmother Virginia Medicine Traveller, uncles, Noel Yellowfly, Allan (Jennifer) Gordon, Gary, Reynold, Smokey, T.R., Rex, Clayton (Joan), aunts, Myrna (Morris) Brenda, Letty, Sharon, Rosalyn, Ann Marie (Leonard) and Harvina MG (Rudy); siblings, Tara (Tracy), Raylene (James), Truman (Kerrie) and Sheena (Kym) and her precious, Terri-Jane (Deron) and Tanya RC; along with numerous relatives in the Treaty 7 area.
Anita was predeceased by her father Terry Many Guns, her grandparents, Allan Medicine Traveller and Phil and Ada Many Guns; sister Sonia Many Guns, aunties, Angeline Bearchief, Harvina Red Crow and Linda Red Crow; uncles, Amil (Moose) Red Crow, Malcolm Sitting Eagle, Donnie Yellowfly, Gary Many Guns, and Roger Many Guns.
Wake Services will be held at the residence of Rita Many Guns on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. A Celebration of Anita’s life will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Internment to follow at the Chicago gravesite.

We would like to remind people who will be attending the Wake and the Celebration of Life, that masks must be worn. Hand sanitizer will be made available in accordance with local health regulations. The family apologizes for anyone we may have missed; Anita was loved by so many. We would like to thank the Tsuut’ina Nation for welcoming Anita into their community and for all their support. We would also like to thank all those who have kindly offered their support, love and prayers.
In living memory of Anita Many Guns-Simeon, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area.
