Obituary of Catherine WILSON

May 29, 1930 – Auchinairn, Scotland April 11, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine Wilson, on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, she was 87 years old. Catherine Hardie Murphy was born in Auchinairn, Scotland and immigrated to Canada at twenty-five years of age to marry husband John Wilson in 1955. She will be remembered in love by her three remaining children, James Wilson, Gordon Wilson, and Jordan Bell; four grandchildren, Leah Yardley with her husband Jason Yardley, Crystal Putz with her husband Jeremy Putz, Samantha and Jillian Bell; five great grandchildren, Nolan, Maeva, Ruby and Jack Putz, and Halle Yardley. She was predeceased in 2015 by her daughter, Margaret. The family is grateful for the compassion and love that has been shown to Catherine in her care over the past three years, special family friends, nurses and the homecare teams, to our steadfast family at St. James Anglican Church and to the amazingly supportive and compassionate team at Dulcina Hospice. Catherine loved music and recollected the words to some special hymns in her last days, one of which from Psalm 100 which we share below: All people that on earth do dwell, sing to the Lord with cheerful voice; him serve with joy, his praise forth tell, come ye before him and rejoice.
