Obituary of Gary Lloyd Hanson

It is with great sadness that our family wishes to inform you of the sudden passing of Gary Lloyd Hanson, beloved husband of Myra of Bragg Creek, on Sunday, November 16, 2008 at the age of 61 years. Gary was born in Saskatoon, SK and spent most of his growing years in Oakville, ON. After graduation he worked in British Columbia before returning to Ontario where he met the love of his life, Myra. They spent a number of years in Georgetown before moving to Calgary ten years ago. Gary loved the west and the home they created in Bragg Creek. Gary is survived and will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Myra; granddaughter Cassidy; his sons and daughter-in-law, Micheal, and Pete and Gaylin Wieler; mother Dorothy Snowall; sisters and brother-in-law, Sandra, and Elizabeth and Doug; brother and sister-in-law, Rob and Jill; sister and brother-in-law Angela Ringuette and Doug, and Martin Southcott and Hazel; nephews, Randy, Zachary, Blaine and Josh; nieces, Trina, Jodi and Lisa, and numerous friends and colleagues. Gary was predeceased by his father William Lloyd Hanson, and Robert Snowall. The family would like to thank EMS Redwood Meadows and Cochrane; emergency staff of Foothills Medical Centre and very special thanks to Lou-lou and Avril for being there. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Foothills Medical Centre – Cardiac (Unit 1403 – 29th Street N.W.) or the Diabetes Association.
