Obituary of Robert Joseph FLOWER

November 11, 1922 – Regina, Saskatchewan August 19, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta Robert Flower, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather passed away Saturday, August 19th at the age of 94, surrounded by family. Bob was a Pilot with the Royal Canadian Air Force in Canada and overseas from 1941-1945. After the war, Bob married Dolores in 1946. A true ‘Riders’ fan, Bob grew up in Regina Saskatchewan and attended the University of Saskatchewan graduating in Geological Engineering. After graduation, Bob started his career with Chevron as a Geological Engineer and eventually settled in Calgary. Their home will always be remembered as a place of welcome where jazz played and drinks were served. Bob and Del were charter members of the Calgary Winter Club. They enjoyed life to the fullest, especially their retirement years in their motorhome travelling to Arizona. Robert (Bob) was predeceased by his wife Lillian Dolores. Bob will be greatly missed by his children Richard (Maya Mani), Ken, Greg (Catherine O’Bryne), Deborah Redmond (Daniel Redmond); his grandchildren Tesshu, Keiko, Zachary, Kieran, Kelsey, Jared, Nicholas, Andrew and Sean; and his great-grandchildren Anjali and Uma.
