Obituary of Fred SCHIMPF

May 11, 1932 – Mendham, SK August 20, 2017 – Calgary, AB Fred Schimpf, beloved husband of Donna Schimpf of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the age of 85 years. Fred was born in Mendham, SK and moved with his family to Alberta when he was a boy. He met Donna Hallquist in Brooks and married her on July 4, 1953. Fred worked in the automotive industry for many years and was an avid sports enthusiast. Fred enjoyed his time spent at the farm with his farm family. Fred is survived by his loving wife Donna, four children; Kerry Schimpf (Carole), Sherrie (Mike) Wattie, Kevin (Leisa) Schimpf and Kelly (Barb) Schimpf, eight grandchildren Josh, Trevor, Diana, Kevin, Karlie, Colten, Cody and Amy, one sister Lil (Cliff) Salvador, sister-in-law Maxine Schimpf, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Molly and Henry Schimpf, two brothers Herb and Bob, a sister Esther (John) Elder. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. Reception to follow at the Funeral Home.
