Obituary of Frederick George NICHOLSON

April 30, 1935 – Innisfail, Alberta August 19, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta Fred passed away peacefully in the quiet, early hours of Saturday, August 19, 2017 in Calgary, AB, at the age of 82 years. Fred made friends easily and was a true friend. He was passionate about fishing and enjoyed his many excursions to the mountains with his fishing buddies. His meticulous restoration of the 1949 Ford ½ ton farm truck and his twin 1963 Plymouth Valiant convertibles were his pride and joy. Fred will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lois, to whom he was married for 58 years; his children, Paul (Lou-Anne) Nicholson of Saudi Arabia, Joy (Dom) d’Argent; and grandson Quinn d’Argent of Calgary, Alberta; his twin sister Freda Howell of Kemble, Ontario; nephews, Brian and Bruce; as well as many cousins and friends. Fred was predeceased by his parents Ida and Dick Nicholson of Bowden. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
