Obituary of Eleanor Grace TRENDIAK

October 2, 1938 – Winnipeg, Manitoba August 5, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta Eleanor, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2017 at the age of 78 with her husband and children by her side. Eleanor was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where she met her husband Paul. The two were married in 1957, shortly after they moved to Thunder Bay, Ontario, where they raised four children. Eleanor and Paul lovingly served in their beloved church, Fort William Baptist for 43 years. She will be fondly remembered there by so many as “Mrs. T”. Her passion was that everyone, young and old, know about God’s love, so she was active in: Child Evangelism Fellowship’s Backyard Bible Clubs. Eleanor also served as host for Christian Women’s Fellowship Bible Coffees for many years. Eleanor is survived by her children, Linda (Dean) Clark, Jamie (Cheryl) Trendiak, Doug (Ruth Krone) Trendiak, and Lori (Andy) Numrich; her grandchildren, Caleb (Brianna), Jared, Ethan, Elijah, Drew, Matthew, Joshua (Stephanie), Sara (Steve), Robbie (Eliza), Murray, William, and David; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Joseph, Jeremiah, Shane, Sky and Serenity. She is also survived by her sister Doreen (Robert) Posmituk; her nieces Denise and Deborah (Roy) Gross; and great-newhew’s York (Haley), Brock and Conlen. Eleanor was predeceased by her parents Alex and Vi McLachlan; Dan Sottile; and a number of relatives on her husband’s side. A Celebration of Eleanor’s life will be held at their Calgary church, Foothills Alliance (333 Edgepark Blvd. N.W.) on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 11:00a.m. Reception to follow at the church.
