Obituary of Lydell Sheldon MELNYK

December 16, 1965 – Canora, Saskatchewan September 13, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta Lydell Melnyk beloved son of Harry and Dianne and brother of Suzette, Blaine and Danielle and husband of Melori of Calgary, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019 at the age of 53 years. Lydell last worked as a Mining Engineer for Teck Energy and loved his career in the Mining industry. He loved traveling, photography, recording and narrating videos of all the places he traveled. His passion was cooking and entertaining his family and friends. You could often find Lydell in the kitchen watching cooking shows on TV and preparing something yummy. On the hot summer days he spent time in his backyard pool and enjoyed an evening dip before bed. Lydell is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Britney, Jenna, Megan, Justus, Hadassah, Jeremy, Katelyn, Kayley, Jacob and great- nieces Sophia, Sienna, and Kensley. He is also survived by his in-laws Mel and Kay Wolfe, Barb and Maureen Wolfe and numerous relatives and friends. Lydell was predeceased by his grandparents Gerald and Blanche Duperreault and Joseph and Mary Melnyk. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Deerfoot South, ) on Saturday, September, 21, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the DEERFOOT INN & CASINO () Condolences may be forwarded through www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
