Obituary of John Kuzmar
John Kuzmar, beloved husband of Fay, passed away at the Foothills Hospital Friday, September 15, 2006 at the age of 92 years.
John was a teacher and school principal with the Calgary Board of Education for thirty-six years. Due to his love of music, he was known as the ?Music Man.? School choirs, creating radio and television programs, and performing was his life. During the War, John was in the Air Force Choir and Band. He enjoyed playing his violin for weddings and entertaining at senior?s lodges and nursing homes. He initiated the Youth Talent Show at the Stampede. Highlights of his life were music, bridge, golf, square dancing, and he was an avid Stampeders and Flames fan. John was a devout Canadian and last played ?Oh Canada? on the violin at the Canada Day celebration at Arbour Lake Lodge.
Besides his loving wife and best friend Fay, John is also survived by three children, Tina (Everett) Miller, Jerry Kuzmar, and Joy (Doug) de Nance; five grandchildren, Sean, Tara, Zackery, Jay, and Danielle; and four great-grandchildren.
