Obituary of Jeannette Kowalchuk

KOWALCHUK – Jeannette Lillian 1920 – 2006 Jeannette Lillian Kowalchuk of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at the age of 85 years. Jeannette was born in Calgary on October 15, 1920. Following the death of her mother, she moved to Portage La Prairie, where she lived with her uncle, Mac Bowden. In 1950 she moved to a ranch outside of Cochrane where she lived for twenty-five years. During her life she enjoyed knitting and acquiring collectable dolls throughout her travels. Jeannette is survived by her daughter, Taryn Fauth; sons, Doug and Brett; grandchildren, Jeff, Randy (Leanna), Clarissa, Dacia, Vanessa, Aaron, Justin, Maggie and Greg. She was predeceased by her son Richard in June, 2002. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Tuesday, February 7, 2006, at 2:30 p.m. The family would like to thank Hilda and Huebert Kleine, Dr. John VanHolm, Dr. Sosnowski and the staff at the Fanning Centre for the wonderful care she received.
