Obituary of Edith Rose BOOS

July 12, 1939 – Calgary, Alberta August 26, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta Edie, beloved wife of Laurence Boos of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2017 at the age of 78 years. Edith lived in Calgary and worked for many years at Woodwards as a Bridal Consultant. She was an excellent cook and seamstress, as well as an avid gardener. Edith leaves behind her husband Laurence “Laurie”; her daughters, Laurie, Terri (Dave) Dechka, Colleen (Jim); granddaughter Taylor Dianna; brother Archie Read; grandson Wes (Jen) McKearney and their three children. She also leaves behind nieces, Corine Tiller Brens (Richard), Leslie (Bob) Johnson, Simone Tiller, Robin (Steve) Read, Tracy Read, Amber Read, Miranda Read, Stephanie Read; and her nephew Daniel Read. Edith was predeceased by her son, Martin Alan Boos; her parents Les and Jean Read; her brother Harvey Read; and her sister Patricia Read Tiller. A gathering for friends and family will be planned at a later date.
