Obituary of Lilly SCHMIDT
April 10, 1937 – Spondin, Alberta
April 13, 2017 – Red Deer, Alberta
Lilly Schmidt (nee Hein), passed away peacefully on April 13, 2017 at the age of 80 years.
Lilly was born on April 10, 1937 to her loving parents, Reinhold and Christina Hein. She attended Gooseberry Lake School in Spondin, Alberta. Lilly worked for many years at Symcor and Stampede Park. During a well-earned retirement she enjoyed photography and painting, and many visits and trips with family and friends.
Left to mourn Lilly’s passing are her two sons and their wives, Nelson and Jan Schmidt, of Calgary and Delvin Schmidt and Katherine White, of Whitehorse; her four grandchildren, Megan, Jordan, Bailey and Brendan; as well as her siblings and their spouses, Elsie Steinwand, Erma and Richard Marquart, Arthur and Helen Hein; her sister-in-law Rose; and Floyd and Helen Myhre. Lilly was predeceased by her brother Sam Hein and brother-in-law Robert Steinwand. Lilly will be lovingly remembered by all of her family and friends.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB) on Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
A Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery (3219 4 St NW, Calgary, AB) on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 12:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB) on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
