Obituary of Christina Ann Joy RIOPEL

May 17, 1971 – August 21, 2016 Christy Riopel, beloved wife of Mike Riopel of Calgary, AB, passed away suddenly on August 21, 2016 at the age of 45 years. Christy’s artistic passions enabled her to influence many people throughout her life. She freely shared everything she was, in all of her endeavors whether they were with family, friends, creating art, or in the community. Her open heart, love of life and vitality drew many to her and she filled the many roles of wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, mentor, and teacher with her passion for life. Her loss has left a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, as well as the art community. She has left her beautiful and unique fingerprint on all that she has touched and will be deeply missed. Christy is survived by her husband Mike; her children Brittany, Ashley and Ryden; her mother Anne, father Glenn; siblings Trudy, Pamela, Amanda, David, Robin and Leslie in addition to numerous extended family members.
