Obituary of Marion Elizabeth (Liz) MAKAROFF (nee Love)

Marion (Liz) Elizabeth Makaroff of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019 at the age of 65 years.

Liz was born in the Calgary Holy Cross Hospital on March 12 to Bill and Edna Love. After elementary school in Calgary, she moved to Didsbury, AB, with her family, returning to Calgary for her final year of high school and then university. She married Neil in May of 1977. Liz was always known for her passionate ideals, brilliant smile, and a zest for life, which included water sports, cross country skiing, running races of all distances, and in later years, a real passion for golf. Years ago, that zest earned her the title “The Extreme” when she went for a second wakeboard set in frigid Chestermere water in October without a wetsuit.

She is survived by her husband Neil, son Tristan, daughter Rebecca Vienneau, son-in-law Mike Vienneau, two grandchildren, and her brother, Al Love.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB), on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences may be forwarded through www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
