Obituary of Ruby Rose YANDT (nee Neamtzu, Wardle)

October 27, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

Ruby Rose Yandt born June 30, 1929 in Kayville, SK, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, October 27, 2019 in Calgary, AB. She was 90 years old.

Ruby was an avid golfer, a wicked bridge player and a curler until she was diagnosed with dementia in 2015. Then her life took a gradual 180 degree turn as she struggled with the simplest of activities. Mount Royal Continuing Care became her safe zone.  She remained happy and content right up to her passing. The nurses at Mount Royal loved her because she was always in a good mood and made them laugh.

Ruby is survived by her daughter Sharon, and her son, Brad. Ruby has a sister, Alice living in Regina, SK, a brother, Eph, living in Calgary, and another brother Pete, living in Ontario. She was predeceased by her middle daughter, Maureen in 2018, her husband, Lionel in 1985, and her brothers, Vic and Johnny.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 6:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB), on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery to inter Ruby near her husband that she lost so long ago.  Condolences may be forwarded through www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
