Obituary of Jerry MODNEY

Jerry Modney beloved husband and best friend of Celeste Modney of Calgary, AB, passed away at home on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the age of 65 years.

Jerry was born in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, on June 20, 1954. He immigrated to Canada in 1955 and grew up in Calgary, AB, where he graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.

Besides his loving wife, Jerry is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Modney of Perth Australia. Jerry is also survived by his mother Maria Modnyj of Calgary, AB, and sister and brother-in-law, Helen and John Kiszczak of Calgary, AB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jerry was predeceased by his father Walter Modnyj, and sister Tamara Modnyj.

A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB) on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre of the Funeral Home.
