Obituary of Thomas Allan SUMMERS

Tom Summers, beloved husband of Pat Summers (nee Hamilton) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019 at the age of 79 years.

Tom was born in Calgary.  He attended the Haltain School. He was a member of the Masons.  Tom worked for the City of Calgary Police from 1962 to 1988, and for the Government of Alberta as a Sheriff from 1988 to 2003.

Tom enjoyed gardening, boating, squash, tennis, watching football, golf, and running Tom’s doggie daycare and taxi service. He had a passion for travelling, cruises, building fires, his vegetable garden and cats. His most memorable vacation was Steve and Glenda’s wedding in Maui 2001. Tom was always proud of his family. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family and his desire to be of service.

Besides his loving wife, Pat, Tom is survived by his children, Stacey (Mike) Frislev, Scott (Neva) Summers, Steven (Glenda) Summers, and Sharlynne Summers; his grandchildren, Karina, Stephanie, Shane, James, Angelina, Kiana, Savannah, and Rhys;  and great-grandson Kyson. Tom is also survived by his sisters, Mae (Gordon) Moir and Jane Ann Summers.  Tom was predeceased by his sisters Marlene Lytle and Averil Pascoe.
