Condolences
Frank was such a wonderful man and minister. We came to know he, Dort and their family while he served St. Paul's Presbyterian in Banff in the late 80s and early 90s. Remember particularly a Seder dinner on Maundy Thursday, church windows blackened on Good Friday, candles blown out as each scripture was read, "Were you there..." and on Easter Sunday daughter Susan coming in with colourful balloons "HE is risen! HE is risen!" So great to again hear him preach in Banff last summer. Always AMAZED us that Frank would remember ours and our son's names after decades and even when we arrived at Calgary airport and he was volunteering as a White Hatter! Gone but never forgotten!!
I wish to express my sadness at the loss of the Rev. Frank Breisch and extend sincere sympathy to his wife Sheila and their respective families. My knowing Frank for more than a decade and Sheila for a longer period , their relationship was
blessed from the start. Their shared love made for a truly remarkable example that senior citizens can and do contribute to the lives of so many others. Dr. Breisch faith and devotion to the Lord. and his his spiritual guidance will serve as an inspiration for all of those left behind. A friend, Gilbert Turcotte.

My family had the joy of being in Pastor Frank Breisch’s Bethel Orthodox Presbyterian Church in 1963-1966 in Wheaton Illinois. The evangelical Wheaton College dominated the area, and many future leaders of Christ’s church were encouraged and blessed by Frank’s gospel preaching, about half of all the students there on weekends. What I heard was: ‘if you understood today’s world as clearly as Frank did, then God’s Word would touch your heart more from him than ever before.’
The Northwestern Railroad went through Wheaton, with African-Americans to the North of the tracks and others to the South. Frank was the only evangelical Christian on the group unifying an integrated Wheaton, where he made his decided mark.
Regrettably the OPC denomination came to believe that Frank’s position on the Sabbath was not in agreement with their view, ‘the whole day,’ although fitting the great Reformed insights of the Heidelberg Catechism. Frank believed that Sabbath rest is more than a weekly event, but now gloriously present in the whole gospel-epoch of Jesus. Because of that difference his further ministry would continue in the Christian Reformed Church and the Presbyterian Church in Canada. Many of the people at Bethel had identified with Frank and went on to found Immanuel Presbyterian in Warrenville Illinois in the Evangelical Presbyterian denomination. This church continues the vigorous interaction of the gospel with the culture of today that Frank had begun, ongoing within the Wheaton College community.

Dear Sheila and all of Frank's family.
I am sad to read of Frank's passing.
I send my deepest sympathy to you all.
May you find comfort and strength in your wonderful memories of him as you gather to celebrate his life.
May you also be assured of God's Easter Promise of Life Everlasting through the Resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Blessings, Fran Cormack (a friend from Grace Presbyterian)
Frank and Dort were a part of our church family for quite a few years at St.Paul's in Banff. Sad to say that my husband also passed away in CALGARY on the same day. Heartfelt sympathy to the family. The grief is real for both of these great men.
