Obituary of Narvil KOOTENAY

Narvil Kootenay, was called home by our Creator on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at the age of 46 years, beloved father to Seth, Madison & Serenity; a new grandson; and special nieces, Teo and Belle.

Narvil was a very humble and charismatic person. Narvil received his education in Morley, Calgary, and continued his training in the culinary arts, as well as carpentry at SAIT. He then went on to serve as a Bearspaw Band Counselor for a term (2013 – 2015).

Narvil is survived by his siblings, Terry (Margaret), Keith, Travis, Quinton, Yvan (Linda), Rosie, Yolanda (Floyd), Tamra, and Leona; maternal aunties, Kathleen Poucette, Clarice Kootenay, Lana Kootenay; uncle Joey Kootenay (Laverne); adoptive parents, Jackson and Brenda Wesley; numerous relatives from the Crawler, Dixon, Poucette, McLean/Labelle, Wesley, Fox, Daniels, and Abraham families. We apologize if we have missed anyone.

Narvil was predeceased by his beloved mother Viola Kootenay; father Moses Wesley; maternal and paternal grandparents, Joe and Mary Kootenay, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wesley. 

Wake Services will be held at the Residence of the late Narvil Kootenay (Morley, AB) on Thursday, December 26, 2019 & Friday, December 27, 2019.  Funeral Services will be held at Bearspaw Youth Centre (Morley, AB) on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.  Graveside Service to follow at Dixon Cemetery.
