Obituary of Walter NACINOVIC

Walter Nacinovic, beloved husband of Jadranka Nacinovic, of Calgary, AB passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the age of 61 years. Walter and Jadranka were married for 27 years.

Walter was born in Labin, Istra Croatia, on January 28, 1958. He moved to Calgary, AB in 1971 with his family.

Walter had many passions such as cooking; he loved taking pictures of his colorful plates. He had a big love for hunting, and spent many great days with his friends, family and loyal hunting dogs on hunting trips. Since he was a young boy, he had a love of birds especially his finches and canaries, he'd often go and sit and listen to them sing for hours. He loved and enjoyed spending time working hard on the beautiful acreage he had built.

He will be most remembered for his huge heart, exceptional generosity, and a great sense of humor, his contagious laugh and his ability to put a smile on anyone's face.

Walter will lovingly be remembered by his wife Jadranka Nacinovic and daughter Sabrina Nacinovic.

Walter is also survived by his sister Ines Willis and family, brothers, Franko Nacinovic and family (Australia), and Sergio Nacinovic and family (Croatia); mother-in-law Marija Kolonic, brother-in-law George Kolonic and family, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Marija Bistrica Croatian Catholic Church (14680 Deer Ridge Drive S.E., Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.  Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery, followed by a reception at the Croatia Hall (3010 12 St NE, Calgary, AB).
