Obituary of Jeno Sr. II FOTTER

February 6, 1934 – Kispest, Hungary
February 4, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that the family of Jeno Fotter announces that he made his last farewell peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, surrounded by those that loved him dearly. 

Jeno immigrated to Canada in 1957 with his lifelong friend Laci Balczer. He only had the clothes on his back, a few cigarettes and a couple of dollars in his pocket. He worked very hard to earn a life that he lived with conviction. He was always proud that a man coming with nothing ended with everything he ever wanted, especially his large family. He would have done anything for, or given anything to his loved ones. He loved reading books especially documentaries and gossip magazines, he loved playing the lottery, watching a good hockey game or the news, eating good food with a passion (which he did right to his last days), and spending quality time with his family. 

Left to cherish his memory, Jeno is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Terezia Fotter (nee Kovacs); his children, Judy (Attila), Katalin (Joe), Agnes (Herbert), and Jeno Jr. (Natasha); grandchildren, James, Matthew (Jennifer), Steven (Nicole), Victoria (James) , Lisa (Brendon), Cassandra, Sara (Ryan), Sabrina, Sasha and Maria; and great-grandchildren, Peyton, Cammie, Nash, Owen, Luna, Madison, Oliva, Makayla, and his sister Juli Nandory in Las Vegas with three nieces and their families. He is predeceased by his parents, Jeno Sr. I and Rozalia Fotter; his twin sister Gizi; and his daughter Eva. 

A Private Family Graveside Service will be held in his memory. Please raise a glass of wine and wish him well on his next journey. He will be sorely missed and forever loved.
