Obituary of Christopher Paul FEDORKIE

October 19, 1972 - Winnipeg, Manitoba

January 28, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Chris of Calgary, AB, passed away on January 28, 2020 at the age of 47 years.

Chris was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on October 19th, 1972.

He moved to Calgary, Alberta in 1996.

Chris enjoyed so many things in life, from a young age he loved music.  Chris was an enthusiastic singer and dancer, loving Motown and Michael Jackson.  Chris performed proudly with Fred Penner on the recording of, “The Cat Came Back”.

Chris was also very proud of his large collection of movies. He was a superhero aficionado and loved all things Marvel. He also immersed himself into the Star Wars and Star Trek universes.

Chris spoke so happily about all of his camping adventures and BBQ’s with Corinne, John, and special friends, Larry Weibe and Terry Victor.  He was so lucky to have such a special family who loved him.

Chris’ most memorable times were his special, “Mother-Son Dates”, with his mom and his Christmases with his family at his sister’s home.  He also enjoyed his visits with his dad and stepmother.

He will be most remembered for his enormous heart and giving soul.  His infectious laughter and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. He enjoyed making jokes and exclaiming, “Good one!”.

Chris is survived by his mother, father and stepmother, Doris Fedorkie  of Burlington, Ontario, and Mel and Denise Fedorkie of Ayr, Ontario; his sister and brother-in-law, Trisha Robinson and Eric Ismay of Airdrie, Alberta; as well as his nieces, Jada Fedorkie and Paxton Ismay.

Chris is also survived by his second family who provided such support and loving care, Corinne and John Kalyn and D-Jay Schneider of Calgary, Alberta.  Chris was fortunate to be loved by many extended family members of Corinne and John Kalyn. Chris is also survived by his uncle, Richard Wisniewski of Winnipeg, Manitoba; as well as his cousins and many dear friends.

Chris was predeceased by his grandparents, Paul and Mary Fedorkie, and Frank and Catherine Wisniewski of Minnedosa, Manitoba; and his uncle, John Wisniewski of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
