Obituary of Dennis GIBERSON

October 26, 1949 – Arthurette, New Brunswick
February 13, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that the family of Dennis Giberson announces his passing on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the age of 70 years.

Dennis was born in Arthurette, NB, on October 26, 1949.

Although Dennis loved the family farm, he chose to move to Calgary where he met his wife, Annamae (nee Royan) and together they raised three sons, whose accomplishments he viewed with great pride. Dennis retired in 2006 after twenty-seven years as a machine operator with Lafarge Canada, due to declining health that was amplified by a traumatic brain injury sustained in 2013.

Dennis’ greatest loves were his grandchildren and his cabin. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent as much time in it as possible.

He will be remembered for his sense of humour and mischievous nature which he displayed continually.

Dennis is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Annamae, his three sons, Dean (Melina) of Vancouver, Caley (Monica) of Lyalta, and Wesley of Calgary;  six grandchildren, Gabriel, Reagan, Noelle, Grace, Victoria and Samantha. He also leaves behind one sister Gloria (Barry) Richardson of Easton, Maine, one brother Perry (Diane) Giberson of Slave Lake; brothers-in-law, Doug Anderson, Carl Royan, and Bob (Ann) Royan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Dennis was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Giberson; stepfather Dave Sprague, mother-in-law Josephine Royan, sisters-in-law, Elsie Royan, Gena Anderson and Dela Royan, and brother-in-law Ed Royan.
