Obituary of Dale Michael STEFANIK

Dale Stefanik, beloved husband of Jocelyne (nee Chaudouet), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday February 16, 2020 at the age of 63 years after a short battle with cancer.

Dale was born, raised and lived in Calgary all his life. He was self employed for many years as a Taxi Driver and at one time owned six vehicles. He joined Calgary Transit as a bus operator, a position he thoroughly enjoyed for many years.

Dale met Jocelyne in 1996 and they were married in 1998. They have two lovely daughters, Genevieve and Chantal Stefanik. Dale’s greatest joy and pride was his daughters, he loved his family above all else.

Dale enjoyed camping, traveling, hiking and biking, he loved being outdoors, sitting by the campfire with friends and family. He loved having good “discussion” with friends. Dale also enjoyed going fishing with his brother Audie. Spending time camping and fishing with his brother was a yearly highlight.

It is difficult to say which vacation Dale enjoyed most, his time in France with his family, or the trip to Hawaii, or San Diego or numerous other adventures.

Dale loved music, almost all types but particularly jazz and blues. His favorite all time group was the Beatles.

Besides his loving wife Jocelyne, Dale is survived by his two daughters, Genevieve and Chantal. He is also survived by his mother Helen; and brothers, Audie (Alberta) and Richard (British Columbia); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Dale was predeceased by his father Lawrence and younger brother Jim

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church (1414 Shawnessy Boulevard S.W., Calgary, AB) on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the church hall.
