Betty Ann Maylor of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the age of 85 years. 

Betty Ann was born in Brockville Ontario in 1934. She and her husband James married in 1956 and had two sons before moving to Calgary, AB in 1960; they added a daughter to the family soon after. Betty Ann was a loving mother and dynamic career woman. Her work was diverse, taking her from the Egyptian Embassy in Ottawa, to the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Calgary, to Hartley Leasing, and finally to Mobil Oil. Betty Ann was an active and valued member of Beta Sigma Phi for over fifty years, where she made strong and lasting friendships and represented her Chapter with pride. She volunteered her time generously. Her most notable undertakings involved volunteering at the 1988 Winter Olympics and ongoing service to the Cantos Music Foundation and the Honens Piano Festival. 

Betty Ann is survived by her sons, Ross and Rodger; son-in-law Paul, and grandchildren Kate (Joel), Steven, Ava, and Reid. She was predeceased by her husband James in 2003 and her daughter Nancy in 2010. Betty Ann’s surviving family raises a glass in her honour and invites you to do the same.
