Obituary of William James ANDERSON

December 13, 1936– Indian Head, Saskatchewan
March 18, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

William Anderson of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the age of 83 years.

Bill was born in Indian Head, SK, on December 13, 1936. He moved to Calgary, AB, via London, ON, and worked in the Insurance industry for many years. Bill was an avid golfer. He was a member of the Al Azhar Shriners R.O.J., volunteering with the Grey Cup and Stampede Committees. He and Ruth loved travelling and his most memorable vacation was when he went to Denmark to meet Ruth’s family. He will be most remembered for his larger than life personality.

William is survived by his two sons, Joel (Samantha) of Fonthill, ON and Trevor (Teresa) of Calgary, AB; daughter Jackie of Calgary, AB; six grandchildren, Megan, Clayton, Kelsey, Alexandria, Lucas and Claire; and five great-grandchildren, Grayson, Brielle, Willow, Weston and Emerson. He was predeceased by his wife Ruth, grandson Matthew, sister Betty, and his parents Edith and William.
