Condolences
Milo: I was saddened to hear that I won't be visiting with Maureen anymore. It was always pleasant to do so. With her passing, and also with Rex gone, we lose a part of the community that the 'new comers' will never understand. Condolences to all her family and to you. Joe Zink
Dear Milo, Shawn, Shannon, Corbin and families,
We would like to extend our sympathies and condolences on the loss of Maureen. We have such wonderful memories of Maureen - her smile, her easy laughter, her friendly outgoing nature, her support throughout our careers in teaching at Springbank. It was always such a pleasure to see her at any time. She was an amazing lady that we will all truly miss.

Milo, Corbin and all the Munro family,
We want to pass along our deepest sympathy to all the family.
It is never a great time for a loss but now it makes it so much more difficult to share in your time of grief.
Let’s all just remember Maureen’s enthusiasm at the boys' hockey games. Her wonderful smile and her great joy of life.

Dear Milo and Family,
I send my most sincere condolences to all of you, on the passing of your Dear Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. Maureen was a huge part of the Springbank Community, always giving of her time and talents. I also knew her from her teaching days at the Calgary General Hospital School of Nursing. It was always a pleasure to see Maureen at any gathering. She will be missed by so many.
On behalf of myself and the Calgary Airport Authority, I wish to extend our sincerest condolences to Milo and Family on the passing of Maureen.
Maureen was a pillar of the Springbank community, and a valued member of the Springbank Airport Noise Consultative Committee for over 20 years. With Maureen’s patience and help, we forged an effective, and communicative airport community consultative committee that continues today on the foundations Maureen worked so hard to help us establish. More than colleagues, Maureen and family are our neighbors, and we share in Her loss.
Respectfully.
Larry Stock, AGM Springbank Airport.
On behalf of the Calgary General Hospital Class of 1969 we would like to extend our condolences to “Mrs Munro’s family”. Maureen was a favoured teacher of our class, she made a positive impact on all who were fortunate enough to be her students. We were so happy to see her at CGH School of Nursing Alumni banquets. One of our favourite memories apart from the school was her message to announce the arrival of her first baby — “Parcel arrived, tassel attached”! She will be missed.
I had the privilege of knowing Maureen as a School Trustee when I was Superintendent of Schools for Rocky View Schools. It was during this time that I soon learned how passionate and determined she was to improve student learning in all of the schools in the Division. I remember fondly, her tenacious focus on education, her sense of humour and the strong support she gave me.
She will be missed by all who knew her. My condolences to Milo and the family, who she loved deeply.
Very saddened to hear of Maureen's passing. Sending heartfelt condolences and wishing peace and comfort to the Munro family during this difficult time. Alan Hill

I had the privilege to meet and work with Maureen when she was the Rockyview School Trustee. Maureen was always available to her groups, representing the schools and communities she worked for extremely well. She would show up to meetings and gatherings with a smile on her face and welcomed questions or comments to improve our schools for many years. Later, as a member of the Rockyview West Recreation Board, Maureen continued to represent her community with passion and energy. It was a true honour to work with her.
I am truly sorry for your loss. She will be missed by all who knew her and many whose lives she impacted by her tireless work for the community she loved.
Sincerely, Shelley Shea
Deepest condolences to all the Munro family on Mrs. Munro's passing. She was always so vibrant, positive, optimistic, and generous, warmly making such a big difference for so many in all that she did in the community, the schools, various youth programs, and any/all volunteer activities. She will be deeply missed, but we will always remember her great smile and love for Springbank, and we know that her spirit and legacy will live on through so many lives which she touched and made better over the years.
In sympathy,
The Simus Family

I am so very sorry to hear of Maureen's passing. I worked with her on the Rec Board for many years. She was a highly valued member of that Board and we always could count on Maureen to fill in the history behind the issues we dealt with. I had a lot of respect for her, as she was never afraid to state what she thought, even at times when her opinion differed from the majority. Maureen was highly committed to the Springbank community and will be greatly missed. I am grateful for having had the chance to work with her.
To Milo and Family,
My most sincere sympathy to you all on your loss, a loss I also share. Am so happy Maureen and I could visit last September at the nursing reunion. She was a fun loving, full of energy lady and always gave her best. Treasure your Memories, May they bring you strength, comfort and peace now and in the coming days. Grief is the price we pay for love.
Milo, Shawn, Shannon, Corbin, & families,
We are so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you during this difficult time.

Milo, Shawn, Lynn, Shannon, Corbin and families.
We are so very sad to hear of Maureen’s passing. A candle loses nothing of its light by lighting another candle. Maureen shared her light and lit many candles with her warmth, humour and wit. She will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
