I was deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Elsje - I still can't believe that she's gone. I, too, met Elsje through Tai Chi, and it was always a pleasure to see her smiling face and enjoy her wonderful sense of humor. She lit up the room, made friends easily, and really cared about those around her. She was strong, resilient, compassionate, smart, helpful. funny, and lovable. She will be missed a great deal, and remembered fondly by all who knew her.
My condolences go out to all Elsje's family and friends during this very difficult time.

Sincere condolences to the family of Else Happel from the Officers, Nobles and Ladies of the Al Azhar Foothills Shrine Club.
As a walking friend in Griffith Woods, I am so very sad to know of this occurrence. Elsje, I and my 2 brown cockers would walk and laugh together frequently...talk about our love for red wine and interest in the male quirks. She could hear me from great distances calling my dogs and have a smart remark and big smile awaiting me
Now I know why I have not seen her recently and have and will miss her presence in OUR park
I used to tease her with this expression...If you ain’t, Dutch, you ain’t, much!!
Sending her friends and family much fun and laughter as she would want this for all

Dear family, your loss is our loss. OMG, she will be so missed! Elsje swept into our Tai Chi centre and charmed her way into our hearts. I'll always remember her delightful mischievousness: the giggles we shared. Aging alongside her was fun. Yet she was also very human and wise. She had a depth to her that many of us can only hope to aspire to.
She left all too soon, but the seeds she sowed during her lifetime will surely flourish for all time.
I am deeply saddened by the news of Elsje's sudden passing, and I would like to extend to you my heartfelt condolences.
Elsje was more than just an acquaintance to me. I met Elsje at the Calgary Taichi Main Centre, where we have attended the same taichi classes. Elsje was full of vigour and laugher, always cheerful and smiling. Recently, Elsje and I, we discussed the possibility of going vacationing together in Mexico. I surely was looking forward to spending some leisure fun time by the ocean with her.
It's hard to believe Elsje is no longer with us. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and all who knew Elsje, as we all journey through this sad and unexpected time.
