Cory Van Putten, beloved husband of Caroline Van Putten of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at the age of 63 years. 

He was born in Haarlem, The Netherlands, on September 22, 1956.  

Cory was predeceased by his parents, Wilhelmus Anthonius van Putten and Geertruida Maria Elizabeth Van Putten-Boukes.

He first journeyed to Canada with his parents and siblings as a young child and then again as an adult with his first wife, Liza and two daughters, Deniece and Cheryl. After venturing back to Holland, he returned to Canada one last time to start a new chapter in his life where he eventually met the love of his life, Caroline. 

Cory was an amazing husband, a wonderful dad and a great friend. He made an impact in the lives of everyone he crossed paths with. He was a natural leader and always wanted to make a positive influence. He had a love for nature, classic cars, golf, camping, music, playing cards, and being with friends and family.

He will forever be remembered by his wife Caroline, four children, Cheryl, Deniece, Kristy and Eric; grandson Damian; sister Mary, three brothers, Wim, Carl and John; along with many other family and friends. 

Cory had a passion for life that was contagious to all around him.
