Condolences
Soumen, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dipa. She was such a wonderful person and I so enjoyed the memories of you both as my neighbours.
Wishing you and your family strength during this sad time.

Didi,
You came into this world in June, you found Soumen-da in June, and you bid us farewell in June.
Since we opened our eyes, you were our rock and foundation. You initiated our tastes in fashion with trips to “Ladies Own” and helped us graduate to sarees and jewelry. You even taught us how to tie our own hair. Even distance couldn’t keep us apart – I would still come to you for guidance for the smallest of things. And when I go to visit new places, who will guide me now? I will never forget your eclectic taste in interior design and your magical cooking.
Only last year in June, we were together. I will hold on to those recent, and distant, memories forever. You will eternally remain in my heart and mind.
It felt enormously empty after your marriage in 1976. I used to miss exchanging our deepest thoughts while lying in bed when we were young. I will miss you again.
“The day mine drowned in tears
Its shadow has fallen on the monsoon sky
The day the tune ceased, descending on the deepest of grief With the easterly wind today,
Alas! Its vibration floats.
In deep happiness, in sweet sorrow tied was the day The lyre was tuned with the strings of life
But when the strings broke one day
Alas! The melody got lost at the moment”
Stay well and lots of love,
Ruma
