Shelley Oakley of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at the age of 59 years.
Shelley was born in Regina, SK on February 25, 1961. Shelley accomplished much through her life and was proud of the life she had built and the family she had raised. She enjoyed reading, and could spend hours sitting on her back deck in the sunshine with a good book. She loved to travel, and cherished her time exploring and relaxing in Mexico, Jamaica, Barbados and Hawaii. She also enjoyed her time visiting family in Regina, SK, where she could catch up and spend time with the people she loved. She enjoyed holidays where she could cook for her family and played card games with her kids for hours while laughing the whole time. She loved to go shopping and always filled her home with the bright and colorful things that made her happy. She was a hard worker and liked to be busy, but she also enjoyed lazy Sunday’s watching movies on the couch all day. Shelley always strived to be a good person, and help those around her. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched. She will be most remembered for her bright and happy personality, her strength during hard times, as well as the love and kindness she shared with everyone around her.
Shelley is survived by her son Kyle and her daughter Amanda. Shelley is also survived by her brother David, her sister Faye, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rosella and Cliff; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Shelley was predeceased by her father Rod and her mother Georgina.
