Obituary of David Bruce MITCHELL

David B. Mitchell of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at the age of 61 years.

Born and raised in Calgary, David worked primarily in Oil and Gas, before taking on a number of entrepreneurial ventures. He generously gave his time, volunteering on the Calgary Chamber of Commerce board of directors, Campus Calgary Open Minds, and the Manning Awards Foundation for many years.  He spent his free time pursuing his love of travel (hoping to one day visit every continent), spending weekends enjoying nature at the family ranch near Priddis, and tinkering with every tech gadget he could find. His life was filled with love, laughter, and adventure with close friends and family.

David will be fondly remembered by his two daughters, Jessica and Carolyn, whom he shared with former wife Karen. He is also survived by his mother Doris, his sister Donna; nephew Derek, and niece Miranda. David cherished his time with his girlfriend, Ling. He was predeceased by his father, David E. Mitchell.
