Obituary of Muriel BECKETT

September 9, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Muriel Beckett of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the age of 96 years.

Muriel was born in Nottingham, England in 1924 and immigrated to Calgary in 1950’s where she enjoyed a successful career in the energy industry. Muriel had a terrific zest for life and enjoyed many activities especially hiking and cross-country skiing in the mountains.

Muriel is survived and will be greatly missed by her Calgary friends, Jennifer Press and Judy Duncan; her life long friends, Betty Underwood of England and Janet Duncan of Victoria; and her great-nieces, Joanne Beavin of England and Nicola Last of Vancouver and their families. She will also be lovingly remembered by the staff and her friends at Royal Park Retirement Residence.
