Obituary of Ivan Gilbert BRIGHT

September 14, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Ivan Gilbert Bright beloved husband of Helen Bright (nee Hocking), of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 14, 2020 at the age of 87 years.

He had a great passion for the outdoors including hunting and fishing. He had many talents such as carpentry and leatherwork.  In his last few months he was well recognized in Bowness Park on his red Harley scooter. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Helen; his daughters, Penny  Ballance (Garth), Dee-Anna Hetherington; and son Monty; two grandchildren,  Colin Hetherington, and Jaimie Ballance (Jon);  four great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Rowan, Hayden, and Luna; and his brothers Gary (Emily) and Grant (Colette) Bright.
