Obituary of Brandi Blair SADDLEBACK

Brandi Saddleback of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the age of 30 years.

Brandi started out young as a very bright loving two-spirited person. She was never shy of who she was and was open to who she became today; a very active, fun, loving, caring person. Brandi’s very first job was at Chicken on the Way located in Cluny, AB. She was a cook, and that’s where her love of food began. Brandi loved to cook, “Chef it up” for her friends and family. Brandi mastered her skills at making frybread and it was just like Grandma’s. Brandi was a people pleaser as well as very brave. In her years living in Calgary she worked multiple jobs; she was even brave enough to work on a skyscraper. Brandi enjoyed taking selfies on or near the highest ledge and just in general. Brandi was loved by many, especially her family and closest friends. She always cherished her nieces and nephews as if they were her own, and they loved her just as much. Brandi will be missed but never forgotten and always in our hearts forever, your home now and at peace Brandi, you can rest.

Brandi is survived by close friend, Christopher Nahachick, her mother Cynthia Hunt (Wally), father Bair (Janice) Saddleback, siblings, Christie (Doug), Arlette (Carlin), Destiny (Cyrus), Arnell (Bryton) and baby brother Tanner Hunt; aunts, Barb (Carl), Audrey (Tony), Donna and uncle Dino Saddleback; paternal grandfather Donnie Anderson, nephews and nieces too numerous to mention; as well as many extended family members and friends. Brandi was predeceased by her grandparents, Simon and Josephine Sitting Eagle; Flora Healy and Jim Hunt and Jason Duckchief and Terenda Saddleback.

Wake Services will be held at Gordon Yellowfly Memorial Arbor (Siksika Nation, AB) on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. 

Funeral Services will be held at Gordon Yellowfly Memorial Arbour (Siksika Nation, AB) on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Little Washington Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB).  Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Brandi’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
