Obituary of Michael (Mike) Francis MacDONALD

September 14, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Michael (Mike) Francis MacDonald of Calgary, AB, passed away suddenly on Monday September 14, 2020 at the age of 60 years.

He was the son of the late Peter D. and Marion MacDonald. Michael grew up in Carleton Siding, PEI.  He spent many summers on his Uncle Frankie’s farm in North Lake, PEI.

Michael moved to Alberta in 1979 and started his long career in the oil patch and continued to work in the Oil Industry until a few years ago. He has many life-long friends from his oil career.

Michael had a passion for cooking, reading, sports (Dallas Cowboys), trivia, public speaking, and family events.

Michael battled serious medical conditions for the last 30 years.  One being an autoimmune disorder called Familial Mediterranean Fever.

Michael is survived and will be greatly missed by his daughter Deidra, son Travis, grandson Memphis, dog Twigg and former wife Jan. He is also survived by two brothers, three sisters, numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends, both here in Alberta and on the East Coast.
