Obituary of Robert Gregory STONE

April 22, 1958 – Toronto, ON February 8, 2018 – Calgary, AB With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Rob Stone on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the age of 59 Years. Rob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Rob and Brenda loved to entertain, and hosted many, many, boisterous family events. Rob was the ultimate host, welcoming everyone. Besides his family, and friends, he loved golf. Rob would golf whenever the opportunity would arise, and made many trips to the Masters with Brenda to enjoy the golf with his brother and family. They would also travel to other winter golf destinations to escape the snow. He loved spending time at the family cottage in Ontario with his mother Marilyn and enjoyed fishing with his brother David and nephew Daniel. Rob had a long career with Shaw Cable, and made many good friends there. Rob leaves behind his loving wife and best friend, Brenda; his daughter Jennifer (fiancé Braden Bond); his son Geoff and Geoff’s son Hudson, Rob’s favorite grandson. Rob is also survived by his mother, Marilyn; brother and sister-in-law, David and Chrisanne; and niece and nephew Taylor Anne and Daniel. He was predeceased by his father George. Rob will also be dearly missed by his extended “McDonald” family. A Celebration of Rob’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
