Obituary of Al CONNELLY

September 21, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Al Connelly, beloved husband of Colleen Connelly (nee Martin), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020 at the age of 75 years.

Al was born in Portage la Prairie, MB, on September 6, 1945. He was the eldest of seven children.

Al married the love of his life Colleen Martin in 1967. They moved away from Manitoba to Alberta in 1968. They started their family in 1976 with Marty and had their second son Chris 1986.

In 1980 Al started Connelly and Company Property Management; they are celebrating their fortieth anniversary in October. Al was passionate about his business and touched many lives during the forty years they have been in business.

Al loved reading, travel, music, skiing and MS Excel. He loved to share his wisdom and life experience to all those that would listen.

He will be most remembered for his honesty, generosity, integrity and dry sense of humor.

Besides his loving wife Colleen, Al is survived by his two beloved sons, Marty (Marisa) and Chris Connelly of Calgary, AB; four granddaughters, Mckenzie (Conner) Connelly, Mary Smales, Abby Connelly, and Olivia Connelly; his dog Kona, granddog Oliver, and great-granddog Biggie.  Al is also survived by his siblings, Marg Peacock, Heather Deedman, Dave (Helen) Connelly, Deb (Greg) McLeod, and Gerry (Kelly) Connelly; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. 

Al was predeceased by his parents, Muriel and Michael Connelly, and sister Linda Rose.
