Obituary of Ananda ‘Laneeh’ EVES

September 10, 1953 – Manila, Philippines February 1, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta Laneeh is a shining light that has inspired all who crossed her path. Her unwavering strength and gracious spirit have uplifted the people that cared so deeply for her, even through her challenging journey through the pain of cancer. She spent her remaining days at the Chinook Hospice in the compassionate care of many selfless Caregivers, Doctors and Nurses. Laneeh passed away peacefully and entered the Kingdom of God at 10:01pm on February 1st, 2018 surrounded by the love of her husband and children. Laneeh described herself as “A woman of God, who loves people.” People remember her as generous, kind, compassionate, blissful, caring, free spirited, loving, always smiling and devoted to her faith in Jesus. Laneeh loved to have fun, eat out at her many favorite restaurants, dance till her feet hurt, sing with her angelic voice, craft with an incredible passion (creating thousands of ribbon angels), volunteer everywhere, travel the world, write with purpose, go to every movie that came out (good or bad), spend time with loved ones and spoil her grandchildren with love and gifts. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of LOVE. “Laneeh is enjoying a new perfect day in Heaven”. Besides her loving and faithful husband of thirty-two years, Brian, Laneeh is survived by her daughter, Chantal, who endearingly embraced her Mother’s last desires, her sons; Daniel, who relentlessly cared for her, Adam, who surrounded her with compassion, her son-in-law, Dylan, who always made her laugh, and her grandchildren, Myla, Vida and Theodore who adored their Lola. Her devoted friends and family from all over the world (especially her family in the Philippines, California and Ontario) and her River of Life Church family will also sincerely grieve her absence. Her blissful free spirit and the endless joy she brought to all of our lives will be greatly missed. Laneeh requested white, light or bright clothing attire for her service. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB) on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
