Obituary of Wayne Allen LESANKO

Wayne Lesanko, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at the age of 59 years.

Wayne was born in Esterhazy, SK, on April 11, 1961. He moved to Calgary, AB with his parents in 1964. Wayne worked most of his life as a pipefitter along side his best friends. Wayne married Lorraine Tocher on January 20, 2007 where they built their home in south Calgary. Wayne had a great passion for hunting and fishing. He particularly looked forward to his yearly fishing trip to The Queen Charlotte Lodge in Haida Gwaii with his close friends. Hunting season was also a yearly tradition that Wayne celebrated with friends and family. He will be most remembered for his scruffy character, deep laugh and love of the outdoors.

Wayne is survived by his brother-in-law Norman Tocher (Carole), nieces, Stephanie (Allen) Smitten, and Michelle Tocher (Vance); cousins, Marriane Grant, and Mike Lesanko, along with her two children, Alexandra Shirley and Andrew Grant; mother-in Law Anne Tocher, sisters-in-law, Patti Peters (Terry), and Linda Durand (Gene) bothers-in-law, Ron Tocher and Doug Tocher, and Wayne was predeceased by his spouse Lorriane Lesanko and his parents, Edna and Matt Lesanko.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Monday, October 19, 2020 at  2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
