Obituary of Perry Lorne NEIS

Perry Neis of Airdrie, AB, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at the age of 57.

Perry grew up in the Northwest Territories, northern Alberta and Saskatchewan, spending the majority of his youth in Hay River. He spent time in Lac La Biche, Lloydminster, Grande Prairie and St. Albert before settling in Fort McMurray. There, he enjoyed work as a IT Specialist for Suncor Energy and was a proud member of the Fort McMurray Knights RFC. In 2001, he moved to Airdrie. He courageously pursued a change in career in 2009 becoming a journeyman motorcycle mechanic. In most recent years, Perry’s battle with kidney disease forced him to step away from work and focus on his health. Perry will be remembered most for his sharp wit, remarkable memory, his ability to connect with people, and caring nature. 

Perry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of thirty-four years, Shawna, their children Matthew, Cole, and Rachel, his parents, Darlene and Larry Neis, siblings, Shari (Craig), Scott (Vivian), and Michelle; as well as his extended family, and many friends.
