Obituary of Roman WARCHOLA

Roman Warchola, beloved father of Wendy Warchola and Robert Warchola, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the age of 84 years. 

Born in 1936 on a farm in Thorhild, Alberta, to Ukrainian immigrants, Dan and Mary, Roman worked hard to graduate from the U of A with a degree in chemical engineering. As a petroleum engineer, Roman worked in Estevan and Pincher Creek before settling in Calgary, where he met his wife and had his three children. He enjoyed photography, playing badminton, and hiking in the mountains, but always cherished peaceful time with his family. 

Roman was truly a kind and gentle soul, always providing a quiet, comforting presence to those around him, always wanting to help. He will be dearly missed.  

Roman is survived by his children, Wendy Warchola and Robert Warchola. His sister Lilian and brother Myron, along with all who knew him, mourn his loss. He was predeceased by his precious son Bradley James and his loving wife, Valerie Ann, along with his brothers Michael, John, and Steve.
