Obituary of Teresa ARCURI (nee Belcastro)

November 25, 1933 - San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy

It is with profound sadness and peaceful hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother and grandmother, Teresa Arcuri, on Friday, November 13th, 2020.

Teresa was born in San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy in 1933. She and her husband, Fedele, immigrated to France in 1956, then settled in Calgary with their three children in 1963. Teresa worked briefly in the service industry before deciding to become a full-time stay at home mother, dedicating one hundred percent of her time to her husband, children and grandchildren.

We are forever thankful for her compassionate, gentle and loving soul. Teresa’s relentless courage, strength and sacrifices paved the way for us all. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Teresa leaves behind her children, Giuseppe (Cathy) Arcuri, Marie Blanche (Paride) Gallo and Angeline Arcuri (Shawn); five grandchildren, Francesco Jesse (Sandra) Gallo, Matthew Joseph (Tara) Kirk, Tessa (Mike)  Gallo-McIsaac, Candice Theresa (Terrence) Arcuri-Smith, and Fedele Adam Joseph (Megan) Arcuri; as well as eleven great-grandchildren, Paride Romeo Gallo, Maria Giovanna Gallo, Giuseppe Renato Gallo, Teresa Madison Marie Kirk, Marcellas Joseph Kirk, Samantha Renee Kirk, Nova May Adeline Smith, Loïc Edward Arcuri, Veronica Anne McIsaac, Ivy Jayne McIsaac, and Liam Dominic Johnson. Teresa also leaves behind many other friends and relatives.

Teresa was predeceased by her loving husband of sixty years, Fedele Arcuri, mother Maria Belcastro (Ventura), father Francesco Savero Belcastro, brothers, sisters, and both her son Francesco and daughter Maria Giovanna in infancy.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for all the expressions of kindness and concern that were shown to our beloved mother/grandmother.
