Obituary of Daniel Joseph STROICH

December 5, 1948 - Vanguard, Saskatchewan
November 13, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, sibling, uncle and friend, Daniel (Danny) Stroich passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020 at the age of 71 years.

Danny was born in Vanguard, SK on December 5, 1948 and grew up farming with his family until moving to Calgary where he worked for many years in the oil and gas industry before retirement. 

Family and friends were the center of his world and he loved to spend time enjoying meals and conversation with those he loved, usually with a deck of cards close by.  His dry sense of humour, his fierce loyalty and his great generosity will be missed by all who knew him.  

Danny is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Cindy (Lang) Stroich, and his two children he was so proud of, Brad (Brandy) Stroich and Vicki (Katherine) Stroich; his grandsons, Benjamin and Gavin were the apple of his eye.  He cherished his role as the older brother to his siblings, Kevin (Kathy) Stroich, Della (Rob) Cummings and Wanda Hall; as well as brothers-in-law, Gene (Mina) Lang and Rod Lang. He deeply loved his many nephews and nieces.  

He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Irene Stroich; and brother-in-law Barry Lang.
