Obituary of John MOLDON

February 21, 1929 – Hanna, Alberta
November 12, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John Moldon of Calgary, AB, on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the age of 91 years.

John was born in Hanna, AB but spent his growing years on a farm in the Stoney Plain area, sharing his life with his parents, and his one sister Marjorie.

He spent thirty-three rewarding years with Imperial Oil in Devon, Redwater and Calgary, finally retiring in Calgary in 1986.

John was an active member of Holy Nativity Anglican Church for forty-nine years, where he served on vestry and various committees. Here, he met many friends and developed lasting friendships.

Most precious to John was his family. We loved his gentle and thoughtful ways. He always conveyed love, positive thinking and deep concern for all. We enjoyed many outings, activities and most of all, just being together. We enjoyed road trips around our country but truly enjoyed our trips abroad, experiencing new cultures, foods and scenery. We took a break from our cold winters and spent time in Arizona.

He leaves to mourn his wife Eunice (nee Wasylishen); they enjoyed sixty-five years of marriage; also to mourn are his son, Jeff,  his wife Coralie and their two daughters, Ashlie (James), and  Candice (Jay), daughter Jeanette (Claude), and her two daughters, Erin and Anna; as well as many family members and friends, and his favourite dog, Minnie.

Because of the current circumstances, we ask you to please take a moment to remember us in your thoughts and prayers. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on John’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.

In living memory of John Moldon, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB T2X 3J3, Telephone: 403-256-9575.
