Obituary of Jerrie REIMER

November 9, 1960 – Steinbach, Manitoba January 13, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta Jerrie Reimer, beloved husband of Colleen Reimer and father of Jeremy, Matthew, Felisha and Ashley, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the age of 57 years. Jerrie was born on November 9, 1960 in Steinbach, Manitoba to Frank and Maria Reimer. He was the fifth of eight children. He was raised on a hog farm where he learned to work hard from an early age. When Jerrie turned sixteen, his dad had a stroke. Jerrie took over the farm and managed the family business with his brothers. After farming, he worked in various construction companies and became a well-respected superintendent. When he moved to Calgary he worked for Clark Builders. He had a strong passion for construction and continued to prove his strong work ethic throughout his career. In 1985, he married the love of his life, Colleen Reimer, and they shared thirty-two years together raising their four children. Jerrie was always committed to his family. He enjoyed fine dining with his wife and taking her on vacations. He consistently proved his supportive nature by cheering his kids on at their baseball games, drama performances, and dance recitals. Faithfulness and integrity defined his character. He had a deep love for God and raised his family in the fear of the Lord. Jerrie will be dearly missed by his wife, Colleen, four children, Jeremy (Lynnaya), Matthew, Felisha and Ashley. He is also survived by his brothers, Ed (Trudy), Fred (Linda), Ray (Nettie), Denver (Vi), and Barrie (Susie); and his sisters, Wilma (Randall) and Lorrie (Arnold). Jerrie was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Maria Reimer; and one brother, Gladwin Reimer. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at the church at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Funeral Services will be held at Southview Alliance Church (20200 Walden Boulevard S.E.) on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow after service.
