We have known the Drozdowski’s for many years as both our families were involved in sports and school and church. It was a fun experience to be part of a Drozdowski interaction and that included any time spent with Steve. He always seemed happy to see you and he was always helpful when sports and his girls were involved. Our heart goes out to his girls and to Rachael at this time. We see a little bit of Steve in each of you so he will never be too far away.

My condolences to Haven, and the family. Being older, I never really knew Steve, however saddened for his siblings and family. Fond memories hangin' out around the Drozdowski house in Swift Current!
Rachel and girls,
We Burkes were so very saddened to hear about Steve. Bryn and I talked about what a huge impact Steve had on Bryn’s getting into ringette—something she enjoys to this day 20 years later. Steve was her first coach and probably her biggest support in those early years. I was the newbie manager who didn’t have a clue about ringette, and he tolerated my million questions and phone calls with endless patience. I remember his great smile, wonderful sense of humour and never-ending hours on the ice, nevermind behind the wheel hauling carloads to the rink. I will remember him fondly and am sending huge hugs your way. I know he adored his family, and I hope you find some comfort in all the memories.

Steve was a neighbour and a friend and we will treasure the fun times and the good memories we made. We spend many good times together in our backyards bar b queuing, at rinks and parks around the city, and even searching for Christmas trees together.
We were saddened to learn about Steve’s passing and am thinking of his family during this difficult time. We hope they will be comforted by many wonderful memories of him as these memories are golden. We are happy his girls were able to spend quality time with him during his final months.
The world is a better place because he was part of it, and he will be missed.
Our most sincere condolences to family and friends and may Steve rest in peace.
Love, The Colluneys
