Obituary of Phyllis Jessie ATTWOOD

March 23, 1936 -    Cox's Cove, Newfoundland
November 19, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

With deep sadness we announce that Phyllis passed unexpectedly on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at Peter Lougheed Hospital at the age of 84 years.

A strong and devoted wife to her beloved late husband Morley Taylor, Phyllis loved camping, sewing, gardening and crafting. Vibrant and active until her final few days she was loved by all who knew her.

Phyllis is survived by daughter Judy (Bob) Purser; step-mother to Blaine (Sheryl) and Kory (Elisha) Taylor; grandchildren Jamie (Amanda) Baker, Jesse (Brittany) Poulin, Olivia and Rowyn Taylor; and great-grandchildren Bailey Poulin and Gracie Baker.

Phyllis is also survived by brothers Russell (Linda) Wells , Benny (Gloria) Wells ; sisters Doreen Lewis, Donna (Kevin) Blanchard , Tilly (Fred) Pynn; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Phyllis was predeceased by parents Benjamin and Olive Wells; husband Morley Taylor; sisters Betty Solomon, Cindy Wells, Dina Murrin, and Geraldine Hall; step-mother Lillian Wells; and brother-in-law Lewis Lewis.

Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will take place at a later date.  Sincere gratitude to the heroic staff of Unit 29 (Palliative Care) Peter Lougheed Hospital for the dedicated care and comfort given to Phyllis in her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
