Obituary of George (Gray) Graham DOYLE

November 25, 1936 – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
November 24, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Graham (Gray) Doyle.

Gray was born in Saskatoon in 1936 to Walter and Florence Doyle. Gray had a gracious personality and always had a hello and a smile for everyone he met. Where ever he went, to a restaurant, retail store or just having a smoke, he would always introduce himself, ask their name and where they came from. Then a meaningful conversation would likely occur.

Gray had a real talent for retail and worked for HBC where he enrolled in the Bay's PMC  Management Development Program where he excelled. He started with HBC in Saskatoon then he and Carol moved to North Battleford where Darren and Marta where born then to Winnipeg where Shannon was born. The family moved to Calgary where Shane was born.

In Calgary, Gray spent his career in the furniture industry working for Tynan's Furniture as Sales Manager, at Wosks Furniture as Assistant Manager where he achieved the Million Dollar Club in sales. Gray was an entrepreneur at heart. He went on to open up wicker furniture stores in several Flea markets and locations as "Grays Wicker Warehouse".

In his retirement he and Gail became devout members of the Bankview Community Association where Gray managed the community centre for many years. He appeared as an extra on the TV Series "Hell On Wheels".

Gray is survived by his loving family; son, Darren Doyle; daughter and son-in-law, Marta and Cory Prentice, son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Michelle Doyle, son-in-law Sheldon Blackwood; Grandchildren, Brendon Kruse, Kris Kruse, Hannah Sillito and Sarah Blackwood; great-granddaughter Kaiden, and brother Garry. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. Gray was predeceased by his wives Carol Doyle and Gail Simper and Daughter Shannon Doyle.

No service will be held at this time. We will be planning a celebration.
