Obituary of Richard (Dick) Hubert JONES

April 24, 1927 – Vancouver, British Columbia 
November 19, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Richard passed away at the Foothills Country Hospice on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the age of 93 years.

Dad’s first job was delivering meat on his bicycle and ended with over forty years with Cana Construction. He was able to travel with both Joyce and Marj to Hawaii (his favorite place) and later traveled with his sister Irene to Scotland, Ireland and numerous bus trips to Nevada and the closest slot machine.

Dad’s laughter, smile and stories will be missed by all those who knew him. He was a kind, generous man and will have a special place in the hearts of many.

Richard is survived by his devoted sons, Doug (Brenda), Jim, Paul (Elizabeth) and Rod (Sharleen); adoring grandchildren, Brady, Taylor, Cassidy, Wyatt, Marissa and Emmett; and loving stepchildren,  Patricia, Susan, Tim and Michelle. He was also big brother to Irene and Patricia (Clayton); and brother-in-law to Anne.  

Richard was predeceased by his loving wives, Ethel Joyce Jones (nee Hayes) and Marjorie Laverne Jones (nee Moulton); and younger sister Josephine.
